Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

StoreOS provides billing, point-of-sale (POS), stock and accounting software for shops, restaurants, pharmacies and online businesses in Bangladesh. In this policy “we” means StoreOS and “you” means both visitors to our website and users of our software.

2. Information we collect

• Account and contact details: name, mobile number, email, business name and address.
• Demo and support details: whatever you tell us through the demo form, phone, WhatsApp or email.
• Billing details: the plan you bought, invoices, payment amount, method and transaction ID.
• Usage information: login times, IP address, browser and device type, and which features you use — for security and to improve the service.
• Cookies: for essentials such as keeping you signed in and remembering your language.

We never collect or store your card number, CVV, mobile banking PIN or OTP. These are entered directly on the secure page of our payment gateway, EPS.

3. Your business data

You own the products, sales, purchases, customers, suppliers, staff and accounting records you keep in the software. We store and process that data only to provide the service to you — we do not use, analyse or sell it for any other purpose without your written permission.

You are responsible for obtaining any consent needed before recording your own customers' personal details (such as name, phone number and address).

4. How we use information

• To open and maintain your account and provide the software.
• To take payments, issue invoices and process refunds.
• To give demos, training and technical support.
• To send renewal notices, security alerts and important service messages.
• To detect and prevent fraud and unauthorised access.
• To meet legal obligations such as VAT and tax records.

Promotional SMS or email is sent only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell or rent your information. We share only what is necessary, and only with:

• Our payment gateway EPS and the banks and mobile banking providers involved: to complete payments and refunds.
• Hosting, SMS and email providers: to run the service, under confidentiality agreements.
• Third parties you connect yourself (such as Pathao or Steadfast couriers): to send order details on your instruction.
• Law enforcement or courts: when we receive a valid order or request under the laws of Bangladesh.

6. How long we keep information

• Account and business data is kept while your account is active.
• After you cancel, data is kept for 30 days so you can export it, then deleted. Backup copies roll off in the next backup cycle.
• Invoices and payment records are kept as long as the law requires (normally 5 years).
• Demo requests that did not become customers are deleted after 12 months.

7. Your rights

• Know what information we hold about you and ask for a copy.
• Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
• Export your business data at any time.
• Ask us to delete your account and data (except records we must keep by law).
• Stop receiving promotional messages.

8. Cookies

Our website and software use essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your language and protect your session. You can turn cookies off in your browser, but sign-in and some features may then stop working.

9. Keeping information secure

We protect your information with technical and organisational measures including encryption, restricted access and regular backups. The details are on our Data Security page.

10. Children

StoreOS is built for business use. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11. Governing law and changes

This policy is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka.

If we make a significant change, we will tell you by email, SMS or an in-app notice before it takes effect.
